We have used the Swordfish Ultraviolet Air Purifier in our home for about 5 years now. It works great. We very rarely get colds now. Our house is a converted cottage from the 70's with a crawl space underneath so base air quality is dubious. The Shark Ultraviolet Air Purifier sterilizes all the air that goes through our furnace air duct system using Ultraviolet Light. Ultraviolet Light kills micro organisms and disrupts the DNA and RNA (genetic code) of micro organisms so they don't reproduce before they die. The system works the same as Ultraviolet sterilizers for water but it is set up to sterilize air. The Ultraviolet light kills the germs, microbes and viruses that pass through the ultraviolet light it emits. I set mine up so it "lights up" both our furnace air filter and our humidifier both of which are breeding grounds for bacteria. I still clean and replace them just as often but I know that bacteria is much less likely to grow in between maintenance with the Ultraviolet...

2. The unit does not last.
I used this unit for about ten months. The lamp went out, so I ordered a replacement lamp. The unit still would not turn on after replacing the lamp. There is no power to the unit. I tested it in several different outlets to be sure that it wasn't the outlet. For the price I would expect the unit to last much longer than 10 months. If you do purchase it, I would suggest buying a warranty. I couldn't find one from the manufacturer. I can not state whether there was any noticeable difference in the air during the ten working months of this product.

One of the best things I have done in my house
I had a problem because the drain on my central air system was not properly installed. Because of this I got a small flood which led to the growth of mold and mildew in the HVAC. When the system would turn on I would get this damp smell. My PC is near a vent and I would immediately start coughing when the AC went on. The problem would improve somewhat in the winter when hot air was running through, but never really went away and came back again. I did a lot of research on UV lights. The Oil Company wanted a $1000 to install two units. I have a large house about 4200 square ft. and an air handler for each floor. The Units are rated for 3600sq ft each. 1. A lifesaver! Zaps ETS easily
I live in an apartment and a few months ago I got new neighbors in the apartment below. They smoke constantly and often have parties with 8-10 people in a tiny apartment all smoking all night. The building is old, the smoke comes through not only the ventilation system, but directly through the floors and fills my apartment with the disgusting stench of Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS). This unit saved me from having to move. It's that good.

The HEGA filter is particularly good at removing gas molecules and thus odors and ETS. I have allergies, but they're manageable - I bought this primarily for odor and ETS control and to that end, it works perfectly.

It's much quieter than I though possible for something that moves so much air. Even on the highest setting, I can easily sleep in the same room with it. Some may be more sensitive to noise, but it's much quieter than some IQAir models that I've heard. On the lowest setting, it's barely audible.

2. I've tried others and the Austin AIr's the best
I've tried cheaper air cleaners and they just don't keep my allergies clear like my Austin Air. The Austin Air does not require costly (and often difficult to find) filter replacements. Instead, you just vacuum off the surface and the machine's good to go for a couple of weeks. Think of it this way, if there's dust on top, you want to wipe out the vents.

We had one incident with a bearing problem in one of our machines and Austin Air replaced the machine under warranty with us only being out the cost of postage. They're great people to deal with--friendly, helpful, and they got my machine back FAST during cedar fever season.

Add to that, the white noise the machine generates is great to help you get to sleep. I'd highly recommend the Austin Air and will buy more as money and needs dictate.

Spectacular
This is so good that a friend whose child suffers from severe asthma [and who has an Oreck air filter that cost about $800--- which broke down as soon as the warranty expired], could actually sense how much cleaner the air was when she was in the vicinity of the Austin and asked me where she could buy one. She asked even though I have had this for nearly 10 years [one filter change so far, by the calendar, not because I sensed it stop working].

I can't recommend it strongly enough.

While it is a bit noisy, it's an even background noise, not at all irritating [and I am a real noise crank]; in fact when my neighbors have a party [their dining room wall is my bedroom wall], the hum actually is an added bonus and helps me to fall sleep.

I purchased this unit and used it for about one week. The reason I bought this unit was that when the sunlight came in the picture window just right, you can see the cloud of particles floating in the air.

So I bought this filter and placed it dead center of the area illuminated by the sunlight. After running the unit for 24 hrs/day for about 8 days on low and a couple 4-5 hour periods on high, I inspected the filter for debris/dust. I was surprised to find no dust accumilation at all. As a matter of fact, the only dust that could be found in the unit at all was on the large particle screen in which the holes are so large, it would be large enough to permit small insects can get through with no problems.

Thinking that it was defective (i.e. the voltage creating device could be bad and how would you know), I returned the unit. I also purchased a MIRV 11 HVAC filter which purports to clean the air of the same types of particles. I intended to provide myself a...

I suffer from Spring/Summer allergies with sensitivity to other indoor irritants for many years. I have tired other models of air cleaners which I have found to help.

This unit does the job. You don't have to buy very expensive HEPA filter replacements and at its quietest setting you can leave it running in the room where you sleep with the door closed. It will make it possible to get through allergy season without being totally wiped out.

I would like to remark about some of the negative reviews of this device.

1. It is not a house cleaner and does not have a charcoal filter in it. It cannot make a household that has continuous heavy smoking smell all clean and fresh. It is not designed to make up for lack of housecleaning such as vacuuming rugs.

2. The particles that cause irritation are not easily seen with the naked eye. If this unit is operated for a reasonable amount of time the pre-filter will catch the bigger...

Good value but noisy.
This is a replacement for the unit I got from Sam's Club a year ago. I have been looking for a good air cleaner with permanent filter. The first one I got from Sam's uses electrostatic precipitation which is not very efficient. In addition, it generates a lot of ozone in the room by the UV germicidal lamp. Thank God that there was a recall on that unit and I got a full refund after 10 months of use. Then I found this unit that costs 1/3 less after a $50 rebate. This one uses a so-called permanent filter that can be cleaned by vacuum. I have been using it almost every night for 2 months. The filter still needs not to be cleaned yet (YMMV). It has 3 speed settings, but only the low one can be used at night due to the noise. The timer is easy to set, but it will be better if there is backlight on the display when programming it. The rebate was received in 8 weeks as promised.

1. Works well and quietly
After reading reviews a number of places online, I decided to buy the Blueair products. In ended up sampling the 402, 501 and 601, and ultimately returned the 501 and 601 and replaced them with 402s.

The 402 is truly quiet. This was an important consideration for me; the reason I returned the 501 and 601 was because they were noisy. The 402 has four fan speed settings. The fastest is unpleasantly noisy; I would not want to be in the room while the unit is in this mode. The next fastest, though, is *much* quieter. We usually leave the units in this mode. Sometimes we use the next-to-slowest mode, for example when I'm watching a movie and sitting in a chair right next to the 402. The middle two speeds are sufficiently quiet that I never feel like I need to use the slowest speed. (The 501s and 601s are unbearably noisy at any but the slowest setting - which is slower than the middle speeds of the 402. For 2/3 the price you can move more air, more quietly. Go...

2. Quiet and Effective... Emphasis on Q-U-I-E-T!
I did a ton of research before deciding on the BlueAir. You'll find that the Blueair, although maybe making a bigger dent in your pocketbook than other big-name air cleaners, is your best bet for a quiet room with clean air. I've tried many other brands who claimed to be "whisper-quiet" and the like, and so far, only the Blueair has lived up to its claim.

If you put it on the HEPAsilent mode, you'll have to look twice to even see if it's on. And that's not an exaggeration! Even in this mode, you can see particles going into the intake, so it's still effectively cleaning the room. It also takes very little electricity, so it's no strain on your utility bill to leave it on all the time to maximize room air quality.

The unit is rather large, as other reviewers have mentioned, but once you get it against a wall, or under a console table, you're good to go. The only other potential issue you may have is the blue LED which tells you the unit is on. I'm a light sleeper...

1st time Air Purifier Buyer
I read a number of articles and opinions on air purifiers before choosing the Blueair 402. There are a number of quality machines on the market, but for the price and performance, this one seems to be the best. I have been satisfied with my purchase after 2 months.

I don't have any miraculous stories about allergy relief, but do feel the the air quality has improved despite 2 cats and a dog.

Fan noise: settings 1 and 2 are virtually silent. 3 produces a calming and constant whitenoise (I leave this setting on all the time, with no trouble going to sleep). 4 is a bit loud (best for maximum exchange, but while out of the room).

Indicator light: basically a blue night light.

Simple operation, just pick the speed setting. Only drawback is no change filter indicator.

1. Great quiet air purifier
Some of the online specs are misleading. The Blueair 403 unit (at least the one I received) actually has 4 speeds, just like the Blueair 402! Even the manufacturer's own website as of this review lists it as having only 3 speeds. The only difference between the 402 and 403 is that the 403 comes with a small electronic timer that is magnetic (you can put it on your refrigerator or on the Blueair unit itself) which shows you when 6 months are up and it's time to replace the filter. This is handy, but not really needed. So, if you can still find a 402 (now discontinued) for a good price, I'd recommend you grab it!

This is a great unit but it is a bit larger than I expected. If you have a small bedroom or office, it may look a bit imposing. It runs very quiet at the two lowest settings and even at the third setting, I found the sound soothing enough to sleep with. In fact, the first night I had it, I put it on the 3 speed setting and found the sound quiet nice and...

2. Nice purifier, but the warranty is a scam!
I bought this purifier based on it's build quality and purification capabilities, and also because of the 10 year warranty stated on the amazon page. The unit is powerful and cleans the air in my bedroom very well - within two days, it has completely relieved my sinus problems during this heavy pollen season. It also seems solidly built and it is very silent on the lowest setting (I cannot hear it over the birds chirping outside my closed window).

I would rate this purifier five stars, if the warranty was not a complete scam: it states on the amazon website that there is a 10-year warranty. However, the warranty information that comes with the purifier states that there is only a one-year limited warranty, and that that warranty is only valid if you have proof that you replaced the filter after 6 months. So, if you were not to replace your filter, the warranty would be valid for only 6 months.

You CAN get a 5 year warranty, and even a lifetime warranty, if...

Quiet Enery Efficient and it Works!
I should start with the fact that everyone in our household has allergies, even the dog I think, but that had not been confirmed. Currently we have the Blueair units in all the bedrooms and family room. The best thing about Blueair units is they work! We really feel a difference. Before getting Blueair my wife was not able to sleep thru the night. She would get congested and her throat would get dry so she kept waking up to drink water. Whatever was giving her trouble is now gone from the air and she is finally able to get a good nights sleep.
Outside the fact that this unit cleans the air, I do also like that it is steel construction ( I did a lot of research and that is hard to find), its quiet!!!, and its energy efficient. As for warranty, the warranty card says mail in for free 5 year warranty.

Purchased these for each of my furnaces 2 years ago and have been very pleased. It cleared up the allergens in my house air totally. Previous issues with allergies have disappeared.

The only probleme I have had is that the electronics fails to turn on-which you need for the electrostatic filter to work at its 90% effecincy, otherwise it is only 80%. Appears that the electronics is very susceptible to the filter door being not properly seated, so must be careful when replacing door after a filter change.

Purchased my Aprilaire Air Cleaner Model 5000 in April of this year with new AC and furnace. First off, this thing is huge, and is more than adequate for filtering the air my house. Good product
Very happy with this filter system. It really works to clean smoke from the house. Our house has been closed up for about the past month, running the air. Usually, we get enough cool weather to open windows an night... not this year. Running the variable fan on my furnace constantly on very low and as the air kicks in, I can't even tell we've been smoking as we come in from outside. Very Good!

I had turnd off (unpluged) the electrostatic part for a (I'd thought) day... forgot I'd done it and it went a few weeks before the smoke smell forced me to check it. A few days after repluging it in, the house was clean again (no residual smoke signature)! Had it 6 months or so and will probably replace the filter for first time in another month or 2, since I run it constantly this summer.

1. great air purifier, low energy use, but expensive filter costs
This is the first air purifier I ever purchased. I think the full list price of $900 is outrageous and would not have bought it at full price for what is almost a big computer case with a high quality fan and very high quality HEPA filters. However, I jumped at the chance to buy it at the 50% off sale price or $450. So far it's working really well. It's a bit bulky, but then all good air purifiers are because the filters need enough surface area to work properly. It achieves low power consumption largely by having a large filter area so that the air velocity can be kept low while keeping the air volume high. Low air velocity translates to lower energy consumption and lower noise.

At 10 Watts on the high setting, even if I run it 24/7, the energy consumption will be only about $1 a month.

The power switch's placement at foot level is very inconvenient. Unless you leave the unit on for 24 hours a day, everyday, you'll find it a chore to have to constantly...

2. Quiet, but not best for allergies
This unit does a good job with and average sized room for mild allergies. I would not use it if you have severe allergies as it does not turn over the air fast enough, only 6 times an hour. It was a good buy since it was on sale for half price.

Rolls easy on castors, power goes into bottom of unit. Intakes are easy to vac once a week as they start to get plugged up with dust.

This is a really nice air purifier for under $200. 1. Keeps the air clean and odor free
I bought this primarily to reduce pollen in the air to keep my allergies under control. It seems to have helped, and I've found it is also great at eliminating pet odors (if I don't run it, the room starts to smell like our dog).

The filter replacement indicator is helpful, and the filters last a reasonable length of time.

I run it on low most of the time, which seems to be enough for it to do its job. It's not whisper quiet on low, but I find the noise level acceptable and I sleep with it running right next to my bed. Medium and high speeds are quite noisy and therefore I use them only to try to clear an odor in a hurry.

2. An item no household should be without
I bought the Hunter Quietflo Air purifier, to place in a room in my house so I could smoke and not worry about bothering anyone else. It has more than met it's original purpose. I can smoke in a room and within minutes the smoke is cleared. I also use it my bedroom when not in the smoke room. Since using it in my bedroom I have slept much better( except in turbo mode-it is a little loud, it's only drawback, but who needs to sleep with it on turbo when any of the other 2 settings work fine). It clears the air of all the things i didn't think affected me, but obviously did. This item was definitely money well spent. i would recommend it for anyone

The reason I would not recommend purchasing this item (Hunter 30730 Tower Air Purifier) is that the price of the filter seem way too high priced for what the replacement hepa filters cost. At almost $30-40 a pop, depending on where you buy them, plus the carbon filter that has to be replaced as well, you can almost buy a brand new purifier. At some warehouse stores, you can buy TWO brand new purifiers for about $125.
The Purifier works fine and seems to do the job it says it will do but until they lower the price of the hepa filters, I'll continue to regret ever buying two of the purifiers.

I just got my new purifier today, exactly when amazon said it would get here. I just opened it up and the uv light is broken, but i talked to amazon and there sending me a new one. I guess i'll see how it workes without the light untill the new one gets here...

The new one arrived on time again, but im returning it also. I've had it running constantly for a week now and it hasn't done anything. It is almost silent, but i would rather it make a little noise, the white noise helps me sleep. But there is no way it filters the amount of air it claims too. I have a Microbiology background so I am picky with my air purifiers. This Luma Comfort model has all the features you need

I picked this up a few weeks ago, just as my allergies started to act up again. I was looking for the best bang for my buck, but with my background I also wanted quality.

What's really great about this unit are all the different filters and UV light. The HEPA seems high quality, and the activated carbon is so great to have - I won't go into the chemistry behind it, but it makes a huge difference in air quality. Throw in the UV light, and you have a high end air purifier.

It's nice and quiet on the lower settings, but on high it does sound like a fan running on high, obviously. The only thing I would change is adding a remote control. It would be nice to turn it on from the other end of the room. Other than that, this is a steal.

2. 5 stage filtering with the UV light on, good for up to 400 sq ft
Sleek design and good looking unit 22"W x 18"H x 9" frt to back. Built in handle to move it around and not too heavy for average person to lift.

Be sure of the area you need to clean before you choose a size, many rooms are larger than they seem. Don't forget that this type thing has to deal with cubic feet of air so the height of your room can make a difference also.
Not sure why these units (any brand) are not rated in cubic feet rather than square footage of floor, some homes have much taller ceilings than average and hold a lot more air to filter.

On top, the buttons for on/off, fan speed, timer and UV light are soft touch type that do not click or stick up, so you only need to place your finger over the logos lightly to make them work, very nice feature.
You do have to be careful that you don't accidently touch them if you move the unit around though... very easy to change with just a light brush by with your hand.

1. A Great Unit
This auto air purifier moves quite a lot of air, and cleans it well. To test it, I had a friend hold a lit cigarette in front of the intake, and breathed the air coming out of the unit. There was no smell of smoke! After running for ten minutes in my truck I can tell that the air has a "cleaner" smell.

The filters are easy to replace by simply twisting the front intake grill about a quarter inch. The unit hangs on the back of a front seat with a strap and is out of the way. Unlike dashboard models, no screws or velcro are required to keep it from moving around, and it will not be flying around loose in a hard braking incident or in an accident.

The company that Amazon placed the order with, Safe Home Products, was a great vendor to deal with; their customer service is excellent.

I highly recommend this unit and Safe Home Products to any allergy sufferers that need air purification in their automobile!

2. Cleans the air but it's noisy
I ordered this to use in my new car, which smelled terrible for the first few months. It did make it smell better, but it's so noisy that I stopped using it. I definitely wouldn't use it with anyone in the car if I want to carry on a conversation.

1. For the money, a very nice air purifer
Doesn't seem like a lot of people have bought this product. I was considering a similar Honeywell model, and after comparing the boxes of both products at Target I went with the Bionaire. I admit my largest reason for going with the Bionaire was that the feature set was about the same as the Honeywell, but the Bionaire was more attractive. With my air purifier that replaced this one, I tried to hide the unit because it was ugly. This unit is looks good and I do not try to hide it at all. Further, the materials seem to be a better quality then the similar Honeywell models (I am going solely on look and feel).

When looking for an air purifier, I wanted a unit where I didn't have to replace any filters. The unit features two large permanent HEPA filters that every three months you clean by vacuuming the filters. There is a reminder light when it is time to do so. There is three speed settings. The lowest setting is very quiet. The highest setting is quite loud. I can sleep to...

2. Couldn't be without it
Having just bought this filter to assist with my asthma, I have to say I was amazed by its effectiveness and the fresh clean air it produces and dramatically improved my asthma from the first night.
The fan has 3 speed settings, an auto dust sensor, timer, and ioniser. I typically put on maximum with ioniser, if not used for a while, then switch to auto. In my large bedroom, this works great, and auto switches the fan to low, after 2-3 minutes. This more than maintains the air quality and is very quiet, in fact its quite soothing noise to sleep.
Other reviews have said the auto is just a program setting, I have to disagree, as I've seen it switch back to high, when I moved some furniture in the room, kicking up dust.

I've read other reviews about the back cover not being well fitted. I have to say I've not found this to be the case at all, although there was packing tape on the unit when it arrived, which was quite difficult to remove.

I moved in with my girlfriend, and she keeps a fan at the end of her bed for night noise, which helps her sleep. One day while cleaning, I had to move the fan, and I noticed it was full of hair and dust. We have a beautiful dog but she sheds regularly. My wife has severe allergies and even though she is a clean freak, up until now we could not find anything that could help her. We own two dogs and the combination of the odor and dander was just debilitating. We bought this product about 3 weeks ago. After the 3rd day the change was noticeable. Our house does not smell like dogs and she has not sneezed once (she used sneeze at least 50 times from the time she entered the house in the afternoons until she went to bed!) She also used to take 3 different allergy pills, now the combination of just Zertec and this product has literally eliminated her allergies and asthma.

Automatic features work very well.
I am very pleased with the performance of the Winix Air Cleaners. They work very well. I really like the automatic way they adjust the fan speed. They have two sensors. One detects odors and another detects dust. It automatically adjusts the speed based on these sensors. They really do work. If I spray some air freshener, even in another room, the units immediately detects the "odor", the odor light turn on, and the fan speeds up. The downside is that if you are the type of person that wears a lot of perfume or sprays room freshener around, the unit will be working hard to clear the air.

It works just as well for dust. For example, If my dog shakes himself near the unit, probably disbursing some dust or dander into the air, the dust sensor lights up and the unit goes into high speed mode.

It also has a sleep mode which prevents the unit from going into high speed mode in a darkened room.

It's a great product and seems very reasonably priced...

I just bought 2 of these and it works wonderful. I recently adopted a kitten and bought her home. Not realizing the effect it may or may not have on my younger daughter, she had an allergic reaction. Eyes started puffing up and nose very congested. I immediately went to K-Mart and purchased 2 (one for the living room and one for her room). 1. Honest Review
I'm giving this a good honest review because of the high cost of the item. It's a decent size for a bedroom the fan is fairly quiet and it really works well. After the first day I checked the filter and was amazed at how dirty it was which means it is working as it should. The color choices are a nice added touch. Can't tell if the uv light is actually doing anything but it is on. The air is cleaner and the fan creates a nice breeze to circulate the air. Over all I am very pleased with this product.

2. Getting ready to return the fourth one of these
Really wish that we could say that we were thrilled with our purchases, but we bought two of these in black, one for each of our kid's rooms. First one had to be exchanged within the first couple days due to an awful noise coming from the fan. Second one had to be exchanged due to the same issue. We received the exchanges promptly and unfortunately one of them had to be exchange again due to same awful noise and the second one is now getting ready to be returned because it can only be ran for a short amount of time before it starts making a rumbling noise and sounding awful. The other is boxed up waiting by the door for ups to be returned because unfortunately after 3 weeks it is sounding worse than any of the other three. We would not recommend these. Thankfully amazon has been amazing and that is why we will be purchasing a different brand from them today to replace these.

Of course we can't know how things would be WITHOUT this air purifier, but it seems (to me) to be helping. I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and I'm doing better. Now, we've also recently moved out of a mold-infested home, BUT we now have attached neighbors who smoke, and it's difficult to get away from plastic odors, etc. etc. I feel that this purifier helps. The science behind it also makes sense. I also like the feature where you can turn it down so it's still working but it's not as loud. Even at the highest "setting," it's not obnoxious--like a very small fan noise, I think. It's also very easy to move, etc., with its nice top handle and not-too-heavy design. The circular shape also makes sense to me (to circulate the air), and it's reasonably "nice looking" in our living space.

If I understood it correctly, it is because it causes the air
moving through the filter to "linger" (or move much slower) through
the carbon filter area (the most critical aspect of the entire machine,
is the carbon or charcoal as this works in gas masks in chemical warfare
even).... so it seemed to explain the SLOWER the air moved through the
machine the more absorption of pollutants by the charcoal/carbon whatever.

The two screws pop their own holes with pressure. I used a two inch Sheet Metal Hole Saw with drill for main light hole ($12). I also plugged it into a near by receptacle and it starts right up. I now have two HEPA air filters, as they are the best for cleaning allergens and bad odors out of the air. This model is a lot sleeker looking than previous ones with a shiny black surface. This product is simple and very efficient. I was looking for a purifier that was elegant and effective, yet with a low cost of replacement filters, my budget was under $200.

Great machine and excellent service! Really reduced the dust/pollen in my condo!
I bought this HEPA-type two years ago figuring that it would be ok, not great, but it has really done a great job. I used to get an upper respiratory tract infection every fall when the heating system turns on, but didn't last year. I need to hire the ladies to clean my place less often since the dust is much less noticeable. It does ok on cooking smells, but the reduction in pollen is the best feature.
Two mild downsides: it is a bit noisy on high and the filters are a bit expensive, but both issues are minor compared to the positives. I keep it on low and replace the filters as it prompts me, I am guessing that I have replaced them three times in around 24 months. Just put in the third set of two last week so I am ordering more and thought I would leave a review. HEPA-Type A's aren't that expensive but it is worth it to buy them 4 or 6 at a time since it uses two of them.

This is an older model of the Enviracaire line. I've owned this model for over 4 years. I purchased it to use in my office at work (the room measures 12 feet by 13 feet) and it serves me well. My office sits across from the owner of the company and he smokes cigars all day; I was coughing 24/7 before I purchased this to clean the air. Now I rarely cough.

The low setting works best for me as the high fan setting is way too loud, the low fan speed is actually quite relaxing white noise, and if I had this in a bedroom I would have no problem falling asleep with it running. So far I have only replaced the outside charcoal pre-filter every 6 months or so, the HEPA filter looks pretty good still. (This one does not come with a permanent filter).

There are a multitude of options for air cleaners and none are perfect. The high-throughput, ultra HEPA models generally sound like hurricanes, require $200 media filters, and are as big as a piece of furniture. Smaller, ozone-generating machines do give you a fresh smell, but don't really clean the air beyond truck-sized particles they happens to catch.

This machine does a decent job of cleaning the 700 sq.ft. air space it claims, and the ozone generation is "just right" for also keeping the house smelling fresh. It's very quiet, and the filters are easy to access, cheap, and last a couple if months.

I'm not amazed, but it's a great compromise.

My son was recently diagnosed with leukemia and as part of making the house as healthy as possible in order to minimize illness while his immune system is compromised from the cancer and the chemo, we purchased 3 Mammoth 1000 Air purifiers. This compact purifier is what I was looking for. It is only about the size of a medium speaker, 12x12x9". It is quiet at all settings and can be ran while we are in the room watching tv without any noise interferance.

All the fuctions work, it clears the air very well. Only issue I have is the marketing information says its good for up to 3500', which it is when using the optional ozone feature, however without using the ozone it is only good for 650'. This isn't an issue for me but I felt it was poorly discribed.

this device is used on a daily basis and was easy to put together. testing it out was also simple and all i have done so far is turn it on and it takes care of itself. will have to replace filter in a while, but all is well with product.

Hepa Air Purifier

1. PIP: A wonderful product
Thef service was very efficient, fast and the merchant was very interested in making sure that we were informed of the units shipping.
We have owned two (2) of these RPG- PIP units for four years. They are wonderful and do what the mfgr. say s thaey will.
We had loaned out our two units to a young couple that had just had triplets. The babies were very susceptible to viruses and other germs, as they were born slightly premature.
they put one unit in the nursery and the other in the livingroom.

It was during the first few days that we were wihout the units that we noticed that our allergies were reoccurring and that the air in our home just didn't seem right. (didn't smell "fresh").
That is when we ordered another one.

2. This is the real deal.
Our house has a mold problem that this little unit deal with quite nicely. The bulb went bad after several years and I could tell the difference right away. I need to get another one as everyone wants one in their room. Don't confuse this with an ordinary UV light as this operates differently. If you have air quality issues this unit needs to be on your list. Excellent product!

Seems to work great
The product came quickly, was well packaged, and installed just by plugging it in. It seems to work and produces a light, 'clean' odor. I got it to remove the smells/odors of a new house and the 'off-gasing' of the insulating materials. I think its working.
